YWLC Summer Institute
YWCA Hartford Region’s Young Women’s Leadership Corps (YWLC) program continues during the summer months to empower and unite teen girls (ages 13-18) centered on personal development, civic engagement, and advocacy.
During the summer months, YWLC supports young girls as they embark on a journey of self-discovery, while working in teams and making lifelong friends. The Summer Institute helps build critical life skills, explore college, and career opportunities, learn research and technical skills, and raise awareness on issues important to their communities. All in a fun, supportive, safe space.
We also offer YWLC programming throughout the academic year. Learn more here!
Schedule:
The Summer Institute meets throughout July and August, four days a week (Monday – Thursday) in Hartford.
