The Denise L. Nappier Money Conference for Women

Since 2002, YWCA Hartford Region has partnered with the Connecticut State Treasurer’s Office to offer a free, one-day conference specially designed to address the financial challenges women often face in their work and personal lives.

The conference features recognized leaders in the financial services industry who offer practical advice and critical tools to help participants design and implement effective money management strategies. Strategies that lead to financial security for participants and their families. The conference is open to all, ages 13 and up.

This is a FREE event. Limited space available. Registration is required.

The Money Conference for Women was named in honor of former State Treasurer Denise L. Nappier, a lifelong resident of Hartford and a tireless advocate for ensuring financial security for all women and families. She is a woman of many firsts:

  • First woman elected to serve as State Treasurer in Connecticut
  • First African American woman elected as State Treasurer in the U.S.
  • First African American woman elected to a statewide office in Connecticut
