Career Training

YWCA Hartford Region understands the daily challenges women face while pursuing job and career opportunities. To support women on their path to self-empowerment, we currently offer two programs to support your job and career goals:

YW Career Women

YW Career Women offers wellness support, personal career coaching, mentoring, and ongoing support for women pursuing college degrees at Capital Community College in Harford and Manchester Community College.

YW Tech Lab

YW Tech Lab offers two job training options. The first, YWTech Lab, is a free online training certificates for a career in web design or other digital computing jobs. The YWTech Lab is a hybrid experience, offering both in-person and online instruction.

YW Tech Lab also offers the Coursera program to help you earn a Google Career Certificate through an online training course that allows you to learn at your own pace. The flexibility allows you to learn digital and technical skills that work best for your schedule and prepares you for careers in high-demand IT and other digital-skills jobs.

Both YW Tech Lab programs are free and provide hands-on experience to strengthen digital skills that can lead to a new career.
