Creating Opportunities Awards

The criteria for the Creating Opportunities Awards is:

Individual: This award recognizes an individual or family who demonstrates exemplary support of YWCA’s mission through philanthropic giving or by volunteering their time and talent. They serve as a role model for others on how to give back to the community and are viewed as people who make a difference in the lives of others.
Corporation: This award honors a business which provides significant financial and/or in-kind resources to assist YWCA in meeting community needs. The organization encourages giving and is viewed as a partner in the profit/ non-profit relationship. This can be achieved through the corporation’s foundation, a corporate giving program or the volunteerism of their employees.

Government or Private Agency: This award goes to a government agency, non-profit organization or private foundation that partners with YWCA to make a difference in the lives of women and children in our communities. Because of this relationship, YWCA is able to provide programs and services that improve the quality of life in our region and assist us in fulfilling YWCA’s mission.
