2023 Advocacy & Policy Priorities
For more than 150 years, YWCA Hartford Region has been at the forefront fighting to ensure the passage of laws to improve the lives of women, girls, and families at the national, state, and local levels. Our advocacy and policy initiatives specifically address issues impacting women and girls of color, and the LGBTQIA2S+ community.
Our pillars help build the foundation to create meaningful change for people of color throughout our community. Our priority focus areas include:
- Empowerment and economic advancement for women, girls, and families
- Racial justice & civil rights
- Women’s health and safety
