In 2010:
230 young women took part in activities that fostered leadership development during the 2010 YWLC Summer Institute and 2009-2010 school year program
Over 900 children were provided quality and affordable child care in seven towns
325 women benefited from economic empowerment and financial education at the annual Money Conference for Women
More than 150 homeless women in need of temporary shelter and supportive services became more self-sufficient and now lead stable lives
125children and their caregivers received therapeutic and social services that help maintain stable homes and prevented abuse and neglect
Free tax preperation was provided to over 170 individuals through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance initiative
Over 3,000individuals participated in the annual Stand Against Racism, movement initiated by YWCA in 2010 to raise awareness that racism still exists in our communities and that it cannot be ignored or tolerated
