In 2011:
158 young women took part in activities that fostered leadership development during the 2010-2011 school year program and the 2011 YWLC Summer Institute.
Over 900 children were provided quality and affordable child care in seven towns.
More than 400 people participated in the Money Conference for Women and left more empowered to handle today’s economic challenges.
More than 135 homeless women in need of temporary shelter and supportive services became more self-sufficient
55 children and their caregivers received therapeutic and social services that helped maintain stable homes and prevented abuse and neglect.
Free tax preparation was provided to 169 individuals through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance initiative, securing $263,176 in tax refunds
YWCA Hartford Region hosted the 3rd Stand Against Racism at 40 different locations in the Hartford area, including TD Bank with 22 stores.
