YW Kidslink offers so much more than convenience for busy parents -- the program also exposes children to an array of new experiences that aid in healthy development. Here's what some parents had to say:

"In a world in which people are often quick to provide negative feedback and criticism, I wanted to give you some positive feedback regarding your Kidslink program at Bowers. I typically work from home and don't usually need to take Ben to Kidslink; however, I have noticed that Ben will very often ask to go to Kidslink in the morning, rather than stay home (not that he has a bad home life!), and often wants to stay later in the afternoon, even though I can pick him up after school. I think that's terrific, and wanted to let you know.

Please keep up the great work!"

-Regards, Kevin Rockoff

"I just want to let you know how much I appreciate the YWCA Kidslink before and after school program. Kaitlyn has been in Kidslink since September 2004, and I think it has been the best program she's been in during the school year. Being a single parent working full time-plus overtime-the program allows me to be at work by 7:30 in the morning and stay until 5:15, if the need may arise. I also do not have to worry about her having to walk to and from school. I know that she is at the school and only has to walk up the stairs to get to her classroom.

As you know, Kaitlyn was diagnosed with ADHD last March, and the structure and routine of the program (I think) has helped her to expect the same thing every morning and afternoon. She has gotten to know what is expected of her from the staff. She enjoys the staff and the other children. The amount of activities including games, drawing, dancing and outside time that are provided are great! There have been many times that I have picked her up, and she has asked me to go home and come back later for her. She always has something that she is making or is bringing home a finished craft. The children are always excited when they are making crafts for the annual craft fair. There have been many afternoons that I stay a few minutes to look at all the items the children have made!

"I just wanted to say thank you for an amazing program. It has been wonderful for the last two years, and I know it will remain the same for the remainder of Kaitlyn's time at Bowers School!"
