Here's your chance to recognize someone you believe has been important to YWCA Hartford Region's mission and values.
In nominating a person or organization for the Creating Opportunities Award, please consider the following criteria:
Individual: This award acknowledges an individual or family who demonstrates exemplary support of YWCA through philanthropic giving or by volunteering their time and talent. They serve as a role model for others on how to give back to the community and are viewed as people who make a difference in the lives of others.
Corporation: This award honors a business which provides significant financial and in-kind resources to assist YWCA Hartford Region in meeting community needs. This can be achieved through the corporation’s foundation, a corporate giving program, or the volunteerism of their employees. The organization encourages giving and is viewed as a partner in the profit/non-profit relationship.
Government, Non-Profit or Private Foundation: This award goes to a government agency, non-profit organization, or private foundation that partners with YWCA to make a difference in the lives of the women and children in our communities. Because of this relationship, YWCA is able to provide programs and services that improve the quality of life in our region and assist us in fulfilling our mission.
