We need your help to recognize those who partner with YWCA to create opportunities for women, girls and families in our community and supports our mission of
eliminating racism and empowering women. Each year, the YWCA acknowledges an individual, corporation and government or private agency for their support of the work we do. This is your opportunity to recognize someone who has made a difference!
The criteria for the Creating Opportunities awards are:
Individual: This award acknowledges an individual or family who demonstrates exemplary support of the YWCA mission through philanthropic giving or by volunteering their time and talent. They serve as a role model for others on how to give back to the community and are viewed as people who make a difference in the lives of others.
Corporation: This award honors a business which provides significant financial and/or in-kind resources to assist YWCA Hartford Region in meeting community needs. This can be achieved through the corporation’s foundation, a corporate giving program, or the volunteerism of their employees. The organization encourages giving and is viewed as a partner in the profit/non-profit relationship.
Government: Non-Profit or Private Foundation: This award goes to a government agency, non-profit organization or private foundation that partners with YWCA to make a difference in the lives of the women and children in our communities. Because of this relationship, YWCA is able to provide programs and services that improve the quality of life in our region and assist us in fulfilling our mission.
