In the Company of the Women luncheon is the YWCA of the Hartford Region's most important annual fundraising event, with proceeds helping to fund the YWCA's many programs and services that benefit the lives of women and children in the Hartford region. Guests at the luncheon include our generous corporate sponsors and Table Captains and their guests.
Volunteer Table Captains invite nine of their friends and associates to join them at their reserved table. In extending the personal invitation, each Table Captain informs all guests that a $150 minimum donation is expected.
Guests are invited to give their donation to the YWCA of the Hartford Region during a special "check-writing ceremony" prior to the keynote portion of the program. Contributions from guests at the 2007 In the Company of Women luncheon totaled nearly $173,000.
We hope you will consider becoming a Table Captain for the next luncheon. In addition to having the opportunity to meet many inspiring and successful women at the luncheon, you will have the satisfaction of knowing you played a significant role in helping the Association continue to improve the lives of women and children in Greater Hartford.
