At the 2007 Money Conference for Women, keynote speaker Dee Lee captivated the audience with her no-nonsense, humorous approach to financial planning and saving money during her presentation of Let's Talk Money! This year, Dee will motivate attendees to take an active role in educating themselves about money, understanding their own financial situations and exploring life-planning options.
Dee is a certified financial planner and author of several books, including Women and Money: Your Personal Finance Guide, The Complete Idiot's Guide to Retiring Early and The Complete Idiot's Guide to 401(k) Plans.
A strong believer in the importance of financial education, Dee has teamed up with state treasurers across the country to help them educate women in their area.
Because of her broad financial knowledge base, Dee is often consulted as an expert for many television and radio shows across the country and is a regular contributor to CNBC's "Power Lunch." She is also a frequent contributor to ABC's Evening News and CNNfn's "The Flip Side" and provides personal financial advice to WBZ News Radio listeners in the Boston area.
Dee has been featured in the New York Sunday Times and quoted in numerous publications, including USA Today, Fortune, Money, Kiplinger's Personal Finance, Smart Money, Worth, Forbes and the Wall Street Journal. She also penned the Boston Herald's "Money Manager" column for 10 years.
Dee received a diploma in financial planning from Boston University and her MBA from Simmons College. She is a member of the Financial Planning Association and served on their Board of Directors.

Found Money! Special Savings Programs, Benefits & Incentives
Connecticut's hard-working women who are income eligible may be able to participate in a wide range of government-sponsored savings/benefits programs and special match incentives, which can assist them in saving for homeownership, buying a car, starting a small business -- or increasing tax refunds! This workshop is targeted specifically for low-income, working women and aims to educate them and help them take advantage of little known incentives and savings/benefits programs.
