Infants, toddlers and preschoolers grow up in the blink of an eye. Our Early Learning Centers, open all year, are devoted to making the most of this time. Educational activities and games, literacy, creative art, and music and movement are just a few of the activities that stimulate healthy development and prepare children for the school years that lie ahead.
Our Early Learning Centers are located in Hartford, East Hartford and West Hartford (Elmwood), and special two-, three- and five-day morning programs are offered at the Manchester Nursery School.
All of our early childhood programs meet the rigorous standards set by the state, educational community and other regulatory bodies. Our Elmwood Early Learning Center and East Hartford Early Learning Center have earned the coveted accreditation of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Parents are welcome to visit their child's program at any time, and YWCA teachers are always available to discuss a student's progress.
